Notice of office closure

Veteran Service office will be closed for appointments October 2-6.

Officers will be in conference. Office Manager, Chamere Sanders, will be in office during normal business hours.

If you have an urgent need contact VA at 800-827-1000.

PACT ACT Claims Notice

Due to the recent demand for PACT ACT claims, response times will be longer than normal. We have taken in 100’s of claims. Our staff must have time to process these current claims timely. The deadline for potential retroactive benefits has been extended to August 14, 2023. Please be respectful and patient as we work through this.

NOTICE REGARDING ACTA VETERAN TRANSPORTION

EFFECTIVE AUGUST 1 2023

ACTA wheelchair accessible bus will run on Tuesdays with a first pick up available at 7:00 am to Durham Veterans Hospital. All riders must have appointments no later than 11:30 am and should call to schedule ride with ACTA @ 336-222-0565. ACTA bus will accommodate up to 2 to 3 wheelchairs and 4 seated passengers. ACTA bus will return at 3:00 pm for pickup of all Veteran riders for return trip. Changes in am pick up and pm pick-up times may be adjusted depending upon rider or riders.

All appointments must be made at least one week in advance for scheduling purposes. ACTA will contact Veteran riders the day before their scheduled trip. New riders must contact ACTA in advance for a driveway/pickup assessment before scheduling a ride

10th Annual Alamance County Veteran’s Day Parade

2023 Veterans Day Parade Information

Alamance County Veteran Service will be sponsoring our 10th Annual Veterans Day Parade on Saturday, November 11, 2023 beginning at 10 am in downtown Graham.

The deadline to register is Friday, October 27, 2023

All veterans are welcome to walk or ride. Military vehicles will also be available to ride. Please do not throw candyNo political advertising.

Immediately following the parade there will be a street festival with local vendors.
